Bridging The Gap
What: Venice 2000 will be hosting in partnership with the city of Los Angeles a Community Intervention Forum. The Community Intervention Forum is being held to create a partnership and bridge the gap between Venice 2000, the community and agencies surrounding the community.

Who: Venice 2000, Inc. is a non-profit agency, which has been providing gang prevention and intervention for over seven years. Venice 2000, Inc. was founded on the beliefs that every person with the proper resources and guidance can and will make the transition from negative values and anti-social behaviors to the positive alternative, while overcoming the barriers to juvenile delinquency, economic depravity, and gang-related malfeasance.
Among those invited to join Venice 2000 will be Minister Tony Muhammad, Pastor Marvis Davis of the New Bethel Baptist Church, Mayor Antonio Villiargosa, John Brady (rep), 53rd District Assemblyman Ted Lieu, Former Senator Tom Hayden, 11th District Councilman Bill Rosendahl, LAPD Captain Bill Williams, Dominique Duprima, KJLH Radio Station Amer-I-Can Executive Director, Jim Brown, various grassroots organizations including the CeaseFire Committee, school board officials and many others.
