Fatherhood Symposium

Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke's 'In The Pursuit of Happiness' Fatherhood Symposium

Rev. Cecil "Chip" Murray will provide the morning keynote address for the June 30 Second District Fatherhood Symposium, sponsored by Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke.

The symposium will kick off at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast and keynote address by Rev. Murray and conclude at 4:30 p.m. with the event's "Fatherhood Awards." The morning session will also feature a special performance by African American and Latino American Drummers.

Workshops, focusing primarily on helping men to reclaim the leadership roles in their homes, will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
